Here are the lyrics to my tune, Lullabies & Apple Pies… This scan from my sketchbook is the way I first wrote it in the raw. It’s on my album Tapping Trees in a Trinket Box of Treasure and is also available on the Lovely single on iTunes right now. :) Underneath, you can see lyrics to a different song entitled, The Day My Flower Died. This tune is also on Tapping Trees in a Trinket Box of Treasure.
Those were the days!
Stumbled upon this….

I was at more than a few of these great shows…. reading over the list brings back some great memories!! Boy What A Girl Show, Blonde Red Head, Combustible Edison…. etc… etc… and I see there were many great gigs I missed. Now this tune is in my head from all this reminiscing!
Boy the way Glen Miller played
Songs that made the hit parade.
Guys like us we had it made,
Those were the days.
And you knew who you were then,
Girls were girls and men were men,
Mister we could use a man
Like Herbert Hoover again.
Didn’t need no welfare state,
Everybody pulled his weight.
Gee our old LaSalle ran great.
Those were the days.
